All-natural, organic and paraben-free products might be increasingly common, but it doesn’t guarantee the products will be effective and the makeup shades will hold up. Marla Malcolm Beck, CEO and founder, Bluemercury, which sells lines as varied as Darphin and Odacite, launched a new makeup line, Lune + Aster.
Beck was looking for makeup and products that travel easily and apply even faster. The color products and primers in Lune +Aster are not treated on animals and are vegan, as well as gluten-, paraben- and phthalate-free. Lune + Aster is broken down into four categories, including Prep + Go, two primers and a hydration cream with hyaluronic acid, which help makeup last longer. Protect + Go, BB and CC creams includes a Cover + Correct Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 50 and Vitamin E and the Beauty Balm Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 30, both available in three shades. Bronze + Go includes the Moonrise Glow Contour Bronzing Palette and the Naked Bronzer in three shades that gives skin a light luster. Products range from $18–60.
Other products include Swipe + Go, Vitamin C+E lip glosses in 13 shades and Straosphere mascara that volumizers and lengthens lashes. Lune + Aster is exclusively sold at Bluemercury stores and on bluemercury.com.
