Newest Credit Cards with Travel Perks

If you’re looking for a new credit card, you might as well sign up with one that offers the best travel perks. If you’ve been trying to find a good fit for a while, but haven’t found anything, check out one of these new offerings.

The new Southwest Rapid Rewards Priority credit card from Chase is an enhanced version of the previous Premier card with more perks and ways to earn points. Travel perks include 7,500 anniversary points, four upgraded boarding passes per year, an annual Southwest travel credit and 20 percent back on things like in-flight drinks and movies. You can also use the card toward earning companion passes. Plus, you’ll get free baggage.

American Airlines also recently launched a new card with Citi. The new AAdvantage MileUp credit card gets you two AAdvantage miles for every $1 spent on American Airlines purchases and at the grocery store, and one mile for every $1 spent on all other purchases. New cardmembers can receive 10,000 AAdvantage bonus miles and a $50 statement credit when they spend $500 within the first three months of account opening.

The new Starwood Preferred Guest American Express Luxury Card has a pretty sweet sign-up bonus through Oct. 31 — you receive 100,000 points when you spend $5,000 in your first three months. Regular perks you can expect include up to $300 in statement credits each year of card membership; an annual free night; complimentary Gold Elite status after spending $75,000 in a calendar year; Global Entry or TSA PreCheck fee credit; and Priority Pass Select membership. For each $1 you spend on the card, you’ll get six times the points at SPG and Marriott Rewards hotels, three times the points at restaurants and on flights and two times the points on other purchases.
