Oslo’s new watering hole isn’t going to offer happy hour. In fact, it’s aiming to be the worst bar in the world.

Named The Misfornøyelsesbar (Displeasure or Dissatisfied Bar), the watering hole hopes to create a deeply unpleasant experience. The Facebook page announced and then rescheduled the opening several times, leaving would-be patrons confused.

When doors opened, patrons were able to scope out the bar’s three rooms, named Paranoia, Schizophrenia and Anxiety. Each is designed to mimic the signs of their eponymous conditions: Paranoia is filled with hundreds of eyes, Schizophrenia with neon colors and visualizations and Anxiety with distraught faces.

The bar was an asylum for 75 years, and a hidden room upstairs pays tribute to the horrors patients endured.

The bar runs a permanent “unhappy hour” where drinks cost extra and staff are rude. Pregnant women get discounts on alcohol, however.

Open hours are intended to confuse and frequently change without warning. The website, naturally, offers virtually no useful information. Unsurprisingly, reviews have been mixed about the experience.
