The Pacific Science Center is one of Seattle’s oldest science museums so I was excited to have an opportunity to explore it when I was visiting the city. It houses rotating exhibits dedicated to children and adults as well as a live planetarium, more than 20 events, a laser dome and a café.

Some of the exhibits inside the PSC were woefully outdated and much of it catered to a younger audience, slightly disappointing considering the high price of admission. However, I was pleased with the spectacular light show we were able to witness in the dome. The interactive discussion inside the planetarium was also a highlight and the presenter did a wonderful job of engaging and answering audience questions.

Other favorite parts of the tour included the butterfly garden and the IMAX screen, on which they play both popular movies and documentaries. We also stopped by the café to grab some lunch. The food was decent, if nothing to rave about, but will easily quench your hunger at an affordable price.

Overall, I enjoyed my experience here, but wish the PSC would work on upgrading some of the older exhibits. The IMAX experience and light shows are great, but hands-on exhibits that are up to date would be better options for children.
