The Rainforest Canopy Extension is a three-day adventure into the jungle where you’ll enjoy exciting activities in your own lodge while exploring the wildlife around you. The eco lodge is located in the heart of Mayflower Bocawina National Park, a 7,000-acre area of preserved jungle with opportunities you can’t experience anywhere else.

Enjoy zip-lining trips, trail walks, waterfall swimming and a chance to explore Mayan ruins. Your trip will take you through the Cockscomb Basin Jaguar Reserve where you’ll witness numerous birds, ocelots, tapirs and — of course — jaguars. You can even opt for a nocturnal hike during your adventure.

While day one and two provide multiple structured explorations to choose from, day three is pretty much open for you do whatever you like in the area as long as you respect the wildlife. Go hang out with local villagers or see what kind of animals you can find hiding in the trees.

Meals are included in the trip, along with room and board. Trips start at $539 per person and are available all year, but you might want to book early if you can.
