Just six miles west of the wine city of Bordeaux sits Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport, a small-yet efficient hub in the southwestern region of France. Although unassuming, Bordeaux Airport serves 110 destinations, mostly in Europe and North Africa ,but also including Tel Aviv, Israel and Montreal, Canada.
The airport consists of three terminals: The Billi terminal operates Ryanair, easyJet and Wizz Air flights; Hall B serves Air France flights; and all other airlines depart from Hall A, such as Aer Lingus, British Airways, KLM, Swiss and TUI. Hall A is home to a lounge where, for a fee, travelers can enjoy drinks, snacks, TV and WiFi in the workspace. Shops include duty-free goods and Relay for snacks and reading material, and there are also a few restaurants and a Starbucks.
Hall B also has a lounge as well as shops, restaurants and a large view of the runways. The Billi terminal is under construction, and therefore a bit hectic, but has one self-serve main eatery (Deli&Cia) and three small shops.
To get to and from the airport, there are two main bus services: a direct shuttle that takes you to Gare Saint-Jean (train station) in 30 minutes, or the Llanes +1 service that drops you off at various points around Bordeaux.
