Products / Technology

There are hundreds of products out there for GoPro camera users, from chest harnesses to helmet mounts — gadgets and gizmos aplenty.

Selfie sticks are a useful GoPro tool and, again, there are an overwhelming number of options out there. SandMarc makes a line of helpful products, including their telescoping pole.

The waterproof, heavy-duty version of a simple selfie stick helps you achieve great shots — with yourself in the picture. The telescoping aspect allows you to stretch the pole to 40 inches to capture a remarkably wide-angle shot. The pole then retracts to 17 inches so it can be more easily stowed for travel.

The pole works with all GoPro cameras, regardless of edition. There’s also a wrist strap to better hang onto the pole.

An add-on option of a remote allows you to press the shutter button from the bottom of the pole; unfortunately, this does not automatically come with the product.

Futher, it would be great if SandMarc combined aspects from some of its other products for an all-in-one option. There are bent selfie sticks that hide the appearance of the stick in the photo frame, and selfie sticks with extendable tripods built in, for example.
