Montana provides some of the most breathtakingly beautiful hikes in America. Between the rugged, snow-capped peaks and stunning prairies, there are few places on Earth with such dramatic landscapes. Here are a few of the best hikes to try.

Nelson Lake Trail

Western Montana hides some true gems and the Nelson Lake Trail inside the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness is one of the best. An immense rock slide created a natural dam here just beneath Boulder Peak and the trail overlooking it is out of this world.

Grinnell Glacier

Glacier National Park offers some of the most spectacular views in the state. Grinnell Glacier Trail is a 10.3-mile trek that takes you right through most of them. Along the way you’ll pass sheer cliffs, alpine meadows and the park’s most impressive glaciers.

Ptarmigan Tunnel Trail

The Ptarmigan Tunnel is a wonderful work of nature and a must when in Montana. The trek takes you past broad meadows, carpeted forests and along the beautiful Ptarmigan Falls and Lake before wowing you with the 250-foot tunnel cut through the ridge of Ptarmigan Wall.

Beehive Basin

The Beehive Basin Trail was once named one of America’s greatest hikes and one trek through the 6.6-mile path will probably make you agree. It’s a simple hike that gains you access to incredible alpine terrain, including lakes and towering peaks that all lead to the eponymous basin.

Interior Upgrades Begin Rolling Out Across United Fleet

United Airlines is in the midst of a major initiative to modernize its fleet over the next several years. After first announcing the plan in 2021, planes fitted with United’s signature interior are finally beginning to appear across the airline’s narrowbody fleet of Boeing and Airbus planes.
