Review: American Airlines PHL-CLT-DEN
My American Airlines flight from Philadelphia to Charlotte departed at 8:20 a.m. The constant worrier that I am, I arrived at the airport at about 6 a.m., to insure I had plenty of time to get through security. As always, it took no time at all.

Air Tahiti Nui’s Poerava Business Class
We arrived to Fa'a'ā International Airport early and made use of the Air Tahiti Nui lounge prior to our overnight flight. After snacking on some cheese and crackers and a few beverages, we made our way to the gate.
Lufthansa Premium Economy, Newark (EWR) to Munich (MUC)
I arrived with plenty of time for my evening flight from Newark (EWR) to Munich (MUC). On the earlier side, there was not much of a line to check-in; while my premium-economy ticket didn’t afford me priority access, I was still checked in easily and quickly, on my way to security in a matter of minutes. I did not check any luggage, but premium-economy passengers enjoy an additional baggage allowance of two bags each weighing up to 50 pounds, twice the economy-class baggage allowance.

My United flight leaving Chicago O’Hare (ORD) was scheduled to depart around 9 a.m. I had just flown in from Newark (EWR) and had about an hour to grab breakfast. The terminal was relatively crowded with Saturday-morning travelers and my small gate unfortunately didn’t offer any empty seats. I grabbed a spot on the floor with quite a few others and dug into my fast food breakfast and Diet Coke.
