Reviews / Airline

I recently traveled to Canada for the first time and also had my first experience flying the country’s flag carrier, Air Canada. My flight left Newark Liberty International Airport early in the morning. I arrived at the gate with plenty of time before boarding.

Gate agents began the boarding process right on time. Passengers with rollerboards were instructed to leave their suitcase with the agent near the aircraft, to be picked up on the jetbridge upon arrival in Montréal. The agent gave me a ticket as I gave him my rollerboard and I was in my window seat shortly after.

The flight wasn’t full, so the passenger seated next to me moved over to the empty row across the aisle once all passengers were on board. I enjoyed having the row to myself on the short flight. The captain announced we would land in Montréal ahead of schedule for a total flight time of 53 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised to hear of the short trip! As I woke up early to leave for the airport, I began to doze before we took off. I briefly woke as the flight attendant passed through the cabin with pretzels, but was asleep again during beverage service. Before I knew it, the quick flight was over and we were in Montréal.

I was pleased with my first, albeit brief, experience flying Air Canada and look forward to returning to the airline soon.
