Once upon a time, you could only buy peanut butter in two varieties: creamy and crunchy. Now, thanks to Peanut Butter & Co., you can enjoy cool flavors including Cinnamon Raisin Swirl, The Heat is On (a spicy blend), White Chocolate Wonderful, Dark Chocolate Dreams, The Bee’s Knees (blended with honey) and Mighty Maple, in addition to the traditional creamy (Smooth Operator) and crunchy (Crunch Time) flavors. The all-natural line is kosher, gluten-free and vegan (except for The Bee’s Knees, which is vegetarian). Located near Battery Park in lower Manhattan, the newly opened El Vez is a New York version of the Philadelphia Mexican restaurant. A few of my colleagues and I recently visited the Stephen Starr eatery after attending a nearby event. I’ve dined at the Philadelphia location on multiple occasions, so I was interested to see what New York’s El Vez had to offer.
