The Capital Grille

We arrived before our Friday night dinner reservation at The Capital Grille, but were still seated immediately. Our waiter, Joe, was incredibly helpful during our meal. The Capital Grille hosts their drink list on iPads and Joe walked us through their selection, offering his suggestions. I started with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and we ordered the cold shellfish platter. The refreshing plate included a chilled, one-pound lobster, shrimp cocktail and oysters on the half shell. If you’re a shellfish fan, this appetizer is a must. We quickly cleared our plates.

Baia Restaurant

I opted for a glass of Pinot Grigio from the selection of $2–7 drinks. Time passed quickly and we were seated outside at a table near the water.

Top 5: Tacos to Eat in Los Angeles

There are probably as many tacos as there are palm trees in Los Angeles, so narrowing it down to five must-try tacos was no easy feat. Some of the best tacos come from roaming taco trucks. After hunting down your favorite truck, enjoy your purchase in true L.A fashion — outdoors under the umbrellas or awning most trucks set up.
