Tempo by Hilton Times Square recently announced its partnership with Book Club Bar, an independent bookstore and bar in the East Village, to offer guests an exclusive package and an in-room add-on. Additionally, enjoy a new literary-inspired cocktail experience at Highball, the on-site lounge.
Guests choose the title of their choice from a curated collection that will rotate every six months and highlight trending books and genres. Through October, titles include The Housemaid by Freida McFadden, Wicked by Gregory Maguire and In Tongues by Thomas Grattan. The page-turners are the perfect accompaniment to the Times Square views.

At Highball, the books pair with a specific cocktail:
- The Twisted Estate, crafted for The Housemaid, layers elderflower and lemon with black raspberry and bitters
- Wicked’s Necromancer boasts absinthe, elderflower liqueur and Lillet Blanc
- For In Tongues, the Unspoken Truth combines rye whiskey, Campari and demerara syrup for a rich cocktail
The exclusive Room & Book Package delivers a copy of the preferred book to guestrooms, along with a bottle of wine, a cheese and charcuterie plate, and a $150 food and beverage credit. An in-room amenity of the preferred title, wine and charcuterie is available for $150.
