Buying jewelry is a treat, but with Tessellate you can be sure your good taste is also benefitting others.

The brand is based in Singapore, producing brass and howlite jewelry with a minimal luxe aesthetic. Unlike other jewelry companies, Tessellate is committed to paying a fair price to its artisans. At the same time, each item that is backed on Kickstarter will see $1 donated to an NGO that helps underprivileged girls in India.

While the social consciousness of the business is laudable, it is important to point out the jewelry is impressive as well. With rings and necklaces that use brass, sterling silver and howlite, Tessellate creates beautiful pieces at affordable prices.

Howlite is a mineral usually grey in color, with natural variations in shade. It looks great in combination with brass and silver.

The rings come in several different designs, including triangle, circle, oval and teardrop. You can also choose from a number of pendant shapes on both the short necklace and long necklace.

Rings and short necklaces will cost $35 SGD ($25), while long necklaces will cost $45 SGD ($32). You can also choose a large drop necklace, with a larger howlite stone, for $50 SGD ($36).

If you are interested in travel-inspired jewelry that supports a good cause, Tessellate is worth checking out.
