Top 5 / North America

Whistler, British Columbia’s iconic ski resort, is a year-round hub of outdoor activities and relaxation.

Among the best bets for activities are:

Skiing and Snowboarding
The dual mountains of Whistler and Blackcomb offer around 200 marked runs spread over 8,100 acres of terrain. Much of the terrain is marked as challenging, but even beginners can find great slopes for learning.

Mountain Biking
When the snow melts, Whistler’s ski slopes become prime mountain biking territory. Many trails are accessible via the ski lifts.

Hiking
The network of mountain trails on and around Whistler and Blackcomb mountains give summer visitors access to some of the best alpine scenery in British Columbia.

Spas
What better way to relax after a day of intense outdoor activity than to dip into a hot tub and enjoy a massage? There are plenty of hotel-based spas to choose from and easily one of the most epic day spas around in Scandinave Spa, with its series of cold and hot pools, relaxation areas, saunas and massage options.

Dining
Whistler’s collection of exciting dining options helps visitors fuel up for adventure. One of the best restaurants is Spanish-inflected Bar Oso, in Whistler village.
