This homely restaurant offers Hungarian classics for incredibly low prices, and is found near the Dohány Street Synagogue. It’s super cheap at lunchtime but can get busy with office workers, so try and time your visit for early afternoon to avoid the crowds.
If you are feeling super hungry, head for this place in District XIII. The portions are absolutely massive and the classic Hungarian dishes will leave you feeling completely satisfied.
This place has been in operation for 115 years, so it must be doing something right. Try the exotic delicacies, such as fried pork brains, or stick to the more sedate roast meat options if you prefer.
Once a shop selling alcohol, this place is now a full-service restaurant. The chef here has served traditional dishes for the past 25 years, so there is some serious knowledge in the kitchen.
Run by a father-son duo, this restaurant is known for its quality and extensive menu that reaches to around 120 dishes. It might be a daunting list to choose from, but all of the food is so good there is hardly a bad choice to be made.
