Koutoubia Mosque
Completed more than 800 years ago, Koutoubia Mosque is the largest mosque in the city, standing 253 feet high and constructed of sandstone.
The Souks

Majorelle Garden
French artist Jacques Majorelle designed these gardens, splashed with its iconic shade of blue. After Majorelle’s death, designer Yves Saint-Laurent purchased the Majorelle Gardens for restoration.
Jemaa el-Fnaa
For a hefty slice of Moroccan culture, head to Jemaa el-Fnaa, Marrakech’s main square occupied by snake charmers, orange juice stalls, street theaters, musicians and cafes.
The Tanneries
Marrakech is famous for its leather-making industry. The tanneries are a popular place to go for tourists looking for an offbeat landmark, though be warned, they’re not for the faint of heart and you need to ask around to get access.
