The second-largest city in Mexico is home to some great museums. Here are the top ones for you to visit.
Come here to learn about local history and see the huge woolly mammoth skeleton on the first floor. There are also lots of pre-Hispanic artifacts, including ceramics and knives.
This former shelter for widows, orphans and the elderly is now a cultural center that hosts art exhibitions. There are 57 murals by the famous artist José Clemente Orozco here, including his most famous work, “Man of Fire.”
Museo Huichol Wixarica de Zapopan
Visit this museum to learn about the proud Huichol indigenous group, who live in Jalisco, Zacatecas and Nayarit states. You can see some of the famous beadwork and yarn paintings, as well as picking up a few souvenirs in the gift shop.
If you are interested in ceramics, this museum is great. You can learn about the processes used by local artisans and how they evolved over the years.
Museo de los Abuelos
Guadalajara is tequila country, and this museum contains memorabilia from the Sauza family of distillers. English tours are available so you can understand the importance of the business in the area.

United Continues Its Global Expansion
