Top 5 / Other

If you’re an avid traveler, you’ll no doubt have wondered who can open the most doors using their passport. If you’re lucky to have a UK passport, then you’ll know that it’s likely you’ll be able to cross borders without a need for a visa, but if you are the owner of a passport from Afghanistan, you may be aware you can only enter a select few countries without a visa. So, for boasting rights, here are the Top 5 passports.

Germany

Germany comes top with rights to enter 157 countries, and with some of the best food and beer in the world, what country in their right mind wouldn’t invite a lovely German to their home?

Sweden

Sweden has the same amount of countries as Germany, meaning they come in joint first place. Unfortunately not so strong in the Euros soccer competition, they make up for it with the passport.

Finland, Italy, Switzerland, France and Spain

Finland, Italy, Switzerland, France and Spain are third on the list, with 156 countries causing their citizens no problem as they cross the border. England used to be able to enter the same amount of countries as these pleasant European lands, but now that the UK just voted out of the European Union, it’s begs to question what the future holds for the passport holders of Northern Ireland and Great Britain.

South Korea, Denmark, The Netherlands, Belgium and Norway

You might be surprised to hear that among the countries fourth on the list is South Korea, being able to visit 155 countries with no visa. It comes alongside Denmark, The Netherlands, Belgium and Norway.

The United States of America, Portugal, Luxembourg, Singapore and Austria

Finally, the fifth 5 most door-opening passport, allowing easy access to 154 countries around the world, belongs to the United States of America, Portugal, Luxembourg, Singapore and Austria.

So, next time you have your passport in your hand, take a second to remember what a powerful key it really is.
