Death Valley National Park is the largest national park in the lower 48 states, ideal for social distancing. During your visit, consider staying at The Oasis at Death Valley. The secluded resort just completed a $100 million renovation. The Oasis at Death Valley is comprised of two properties: Inn at Death Valley and Ranch at Death Valley. Inn at Death Valley features 66 completely renovated rooms and 22 private casitas. Guestrooms at Ranch at Death Valley open directly to the outdoors. The property is home to the lowest elevation golf course in the world.
Located in Montana, Glacier National Park is open for a short season due to its location and weather. This year, the season runs May 14–Sept. 22. There are several lodging options. with some open year-round. Cedar Creek Lodge and Conference Center is located just outside the park and offers four-season amenities. Many Glacier Hotel is a Swiss chalet-style property located 10 miles into Glacier National Park. Lake McDonald Lodge boasts 82 guestrooms split between the main lodge, cabins, Synder Hall and Cobb House.
Grand Canyon National Park offers deals perfect for the entire family. Grand Canyon Railway Hotel is located 65 miles from the park in Williams, Arizona, where the Grand Canyon Railway begins daily round-trips to the South Rim of the park. The train trip offers guests more than three hours to spend at the park. Guests staying at the property through Aug. 31 receive discounts for extended stays. The Summer Getaway Package allows guests to save 30 percent off train fare in connection with these discounts. The deal includes one- or two-night accommodations at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel, plus one dinner and one breakfast per guest at the Fred Harvey Restaurant. The offer is available June 1–Aug. 31.
Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Yellowstone National Park pushed back opening certain operations from April to May. Hotels and cabins begin opening with Mammoth Hotel April 30. Campgrounds open May 14. Check the lodging website for more information about the phased opening.
