When discussing can’t-miss destinations in Latin America, Buenos Aires always comes to mind. The capital of Argentina is absolutely packed with good food, encompassing culture and much more.
First things first, stop for one of the best cups of coffee the city has to offer. Full City Coffee House has excellent coffee and good food for an affordable price. You will get a ton of good food and drink for less than $5.
Next, get on your way to take in some art. The National Museum of Bellas Artes is open every day of the week except Mondays. It features some of the most acclaimed and classic pieces of artwork from around the world. Admission for non-Argentine residents costs less than $5.
For lunch, go to El Banco Rojo. This restaurant has sandwiches to salads and everything in between. Again, you will be able to eat comfortably for less than $10.
After lunch, you should take in some of the city’s architecture and history. Go to the Recoleta section. This neighborhood is home to the Recoleta Cemetary, the final resting place of many Argentine notables, including Eva Peron. Try to see La Casa Rosa and La Plaza de Mayo as well. The Pink House is the presidential office of the executive branch of Argentina and is well-worth visiting.
For dinner, make reservations at The Argentine Experience. This dining experience must be seen to be believed. Part cooking class, part dinner, this experience starts at 8 p.m. and runs about $80 for the basic dinner experience.
