Under $100 / North America

Approximately 30 million visitors travel to Niagara Falls, Ontario, each year to view the massive natural wonder. This many visitors created a tourism hub called Clifton Hill, full of restaurants, shops and activities for all ages to enjoy. Make sure to tell your waiter or person checking out your items you do not want to pay the optional tourism tax to save you money on your bills.

If your hotel doesn’t offer breakfast or you are only visiting for the day, starting your morning with breakfast before all the excitement is essential. Grabbing a quick bite to eat and a freshly brewed coffee and a maple-glazed donut from Tim Hortons will save you money that can be used later in the day.

After breakfast, it’s time for a ride on the Maid of the Mist for the spectacular and unforgettable view of the cascading falls from the bottom of them. This trip will cost you $19.25 and includes a brightly colored poncho to keep dry.

Seeing the falls from every view possible calls for a new view. Clifton Hill has amusements to keep you entertained all day. For $29.95, you can purchase a Clifton Hill FunPass. This pass gives you access to six attractions, including the Niagara SkyWheel and Movieland Wax Museum.

Take a break for lunch and head to Smoke’s Poutinerie to savor a traditional poutine dish for only $8.79. After you had your fill, head back to the attractions or view the falls from a different angle.

For dinner, try Niagara Brewing Company  to sample some local beer and bites. As the night winds down, enjoy the free firework show in front of the American side of the falls.
