Black Hill Trail is also a popular pick. Just be sure to check park and venue regulations before busting out the mountain bike; some areas are more suitable for exploring on foot.
Take a Whale-Watching Tour
If you’d rather see the sights from the water, take a guided whale-watching tour from one of the local providers to spot gray whales, humpbacks and orcas, depending on the time of year.

Go off-roading at Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area. Managed by California State Parks, this ultra-unique spot offers plenty of opportunities for ATV adventures, as well as camping, swimming, hiking and fishing.
