The leading Rhode Island museum of art, design and culture, the can’t-miss RISD Museum is free to visit on Thursday and Friday evenings, 5–7 p.m., and all day Sunday.

 

Take in WaterFire

WaterFire is an after-dark artistic experience that lights up the downtown riverside with more than 80 bonfires. Part of an award-winning interactive art installation, WaterFire doesn’t run every night of the year. Instead, it only runs select dates, April–December.

 

Catch a Show

Providence offers a range of arts and entertainment venues, including Trinity RepProvidence Performing Arts Centerand The Vets. Whether you’re interested in catching a Broadway-style show, comedy set or live music, you can always find something playing.
