The Oddities & Curiosities Expo continues to make its way across the country, with a stop in Denver later this week, Oct. 4–5.
The expo revels in all things odd, bizarre and unusual. While immersive experiences, performances and entertainment are on tap, the real highlight at this event is the shopping. If you’ve ever wondered where you might be able to purchase some unique taxidermy, maybe some bones or even some funeral collectibles, this is where you’ll want to do it.
“We created this expo to give odd small businesses and artists a space where they can thrive,” said founder Michelle Cozzaglio. “Our goal is to build a community where people feel safe to be themselves, surrounded by like-minded folks who appreciate the weird and wonderful.”
Tickets are just $12. However, if you want even more fun, you can purchase additional tickets for extra events such as a taxidermy class, insect pinning class or a wet specimen preservation workshop.
Can’t make the Denver event? While the expo’s year is winding down, you can still catch expos taking place throughout the rest of the season, in Vancouver (Oct. 11–12); Seattle (Oct. 18–19); Portland, Oregon (Oct. 25–26); Sacramento (Nov. 8–9); Kansas City (Nov. 15–16); and Tampa (Nov. 22–23).
