Moleskine Cahiers Pocket Notebooks

Among Moleskine’s many fetching notebooks are the cahiers pocket collection, a group of almost pocket-sized notebooks that are great for travel. They come in every conceivable color so it’s easy to find something that suits your style.

The cahiers notebooks come in sets of three, and you have options for ruled (with lines on the pages), blank and squared pages. Each notebook features a “flexible heavy-duty writable cardboard cover” “with visible stitching on the spine.” Moleskine thought of just about everything, including making the last 16 pages detachable should you need to write a note and tear it out without damaging the book.

The notebooks also have pockets in the back for loose notes, business cards, etc., and are made with acid-free paper.

The one downside to the cahiers collection is that the covers are a bit soft and are easily damaged in a set of luggage, a backpack or other high-traffic areas. Even if you keep yours in your pocket, chances are you’re going to scuff up the cover a bit. And the covers are writable, which is nice if you want to add your name or other element to the cover, but it also means you’re likely to stain or smudge your journal.
