Traveling around Poland can involve a handful of transportation modes as trains, planes, rental cars and buses embark on daily journeys across the country. One of the most reliable, flexible and frequent ways to get from city to city is with Flixbus, an internet and app-based company that lets travelers book in the moment and take off almost every hour.

Flixbus’ green-and-orange vessels are easy to spot at the bus station where they collect passengers by scanning either printed tickets or QR codes via the mobile app. Passengers with luggage can stow it under the bus in a secure compartment.

Once on the bus, travelers have access to free WiFi which can be a bit spotty, but still offers better connection capabilities than some rural data services. Each seat has an air conditioning vent above the passenger’s head as well as a private reading light and two European charging outlets under each seat.

Tickets for journeys on Flixbus range depending on the hour and day of travel, but some of the lowest prices start at just $1.50. Booking a ticket is as easy as logging on to the app, selecting destination and arrival points and paying securely with a credit card. Travelers also have the option to select their own assigned seats for an additional fee, but once on board it’s first-come, first-serve for those who did not pre-select seats.
