Visit the Nevada County Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum. The museum is dedicated to the preservation of local transportation history. Visitors will find artifacts from the narrow gauge railroad era. Hours vary by season. Admission is free.
Wander along Broad Street, the town’s main shopping area. Here you’ll find quaint shops with unique gifts for souvenirs or to keep for yourself. Grab some drinks and dinner at Three Forks Bakery & Brewery. Menus change weekly, depending on availability of ingredients. Items include pizza, soup, salad, sandwiches and small plates. Make sure to end your meal on a sweet note with an item from the bakery menu including cookies, cake and pie. Choose from seasonal and year-round beers in the brewery. Spend about $20–30.
