Traveling solo can be a liberating experience, but even the most solitary loners like to have a buddy around once in a while. Solving this problem is Roammate, the new social networking app built for travelers who want someone to share their experience. The app is built with all kinds of travelers in mind, from long-term backpackers to weekend daytrippers and everyone in between.
By selecting your interests and location, Roammate will link you with like-minded people. The best part is you can find people based on what you want to do, allowing traveling professionals to find people for business collaboration while fitness junkies can find a person to go on a run with. The app is also great for meeting people at home, with categories for hobby classes and cultural activities.
People can also post their future destination if they need more people in their party, making the app great for planning group travel.
Roammate is currently undergoing beta testing and is set to be released in early 2016. If you’re on the road and want to find a travel buddy right now, go to theroammate.com and click the link to apply for a beta version.
