Hawai’i is a hot destination for 2016, according to Connie Riker of Create The Moment Travel, as the islands help couples stay a bit closer to home while enjoying a secluded and romantic escape.
While Thailand tops Riker’s under-the-radar list for its moderate cost and incredible culture, the country ranks as the hot spot for 2016 for Irina Vishnevskaya of allé travel for its selection of activities and unbelievable beaches.
Riviera Maya tops Kimberly Jacoby’s list of hot destinations to enjoy with your new spouse for its all-inclusive luxury options for romance, adventure and relaxation. The travel agent of Romantics Travel chose the Cook Islands as a great under-the-radar option as the destination is unspoiled by tourism and boasts beautiful beaches, clear water and some of the world’s largest coral lagoons.

Lauren Doyle of The Travel Mechanic picked South America as the hot destination for 2016, offering rich culture, great wineries and plenty of adventure opportunities in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. Tortola, Scrub Islands and Peter Island are unique under-the-radar locations introducing new boutique hotels and boasting romantic sunsets.
Italy is the No. 1 choice for a hot honeymoon destination for Erin Stambaugh of Travel by Erin, as the U.S. dollar has gone much further in Europe this past year, making travel more affordable. For those seeking warm weather in the fall and winter, Stambaugh recommends Grenada as an under-the-radar destination for its fantastic diving opportunities and lush landscape.
