Traveling involves a great deal of moving about, rushing to catch a plane or train and potentially hours breathing in the dry air of an airplane cabin. Hydration while traveling is often overlooked but its importance cannot be emphasized enough: As the body expends energy and fluids through sweat, those fluids need to be replaced or a person can experience extremely troubling symptoms.

Finding potable water while on the move isn’t always as easy as stopping at the nearest water fountain. For this, water giant Brita developed a solution to travelers who constantly seek to cure their continued thirst yet who are not keen to sip from a shared fountain or tap.

Brita’s Sport Water Filter Bottles step in to save dry throats by providing clean water to thirsty travelers. Each bottle is equipped with a standard Brita filter within the lid so any water poured into the bottle is filtered for cleanliness the same way other Brita products purify drinking water via the tap or a pitcher.

The standard squeezable bottle holds 590 milliliters of liquid and is both BPA free and dishwasher safe. A second option is the hard-sided bottle with a capacity for 700 milliliters and a sturdier exterior. Both the squeezable bottle ($9.99) and the hard-sided bottle ($19.99) can be purchased on Brita’s website or at various home goods stores.
