What if you were able to become a happier, healthier and more productive person simply by wearing a pair of glasses for 20 minutes a day? That’s the question the makers of AYO Light Therapy Glasses asked themselves when they set out to design a way to change people’s lives, and their hard work is nearly complete.
Their light therapy glasses are designed as a wearable technology that can optimize your hormone levels after just a few minutes of use each day. Exposure to the safe AYO blue light causes your body to regulate and optimize hormones in your body that might be getting thrown off by a busy schedule and poor sleep pattern.
AYO claims that 20 years of research backs up their claim and that wearing a pair of their glasses daily can help improve your sleep, combat depression and, for travelers, even beat jet lag. The glasses work by pairing up with an app on your smartphone that allows you to customize it to your desired sleeping habits. You can even match up your sleeping patterns with your partner or someone you idolize and would like to emulate. It’ll toss insights about your energy levels your way and give you personalized advice on the best times for you to fit in sleep, naps and meals.
The AYO is still in the funding phase, but is expected to begin shipping October 2016.
