Tips / Travel

While some travelers wish to spend their trip in one location, others wish to stay mobile and experience entire regions of the globe. The following list details the most rewarding way to journey across each continent.

North America — Car

North America is birthplace of both the automobile and highway, so it should come as no surprise it is the road trip capital of the world. Those visiting can rent a car from nearly any city or town. Head south to Mexico, north to Canada or see the great American frontier by way of Route 66.

South America — Bus

The bus system of South America is intricate and immense. Not only are tour buses located in nearly every major city and tourist destination, but they also are available for daily transport between and within cities.

Europe — Train

Not only are trains the easiest way to voyage around Europe, they are also perhaps the most strange and interesting. Meeting new people and forging friendships is easy by rail, because you never know who might stumble into a train car. Or, for those hoping to get a good night of sleep, there are always sleeper cars on the train for rent.

Africa — Off-Road Vehicle

For first timers venturing across the African planes, safari tours are a good option. They provide not only an interesting ride, but also structured day-to-day activities and often include rooming. Experienced travelers of Africa, however, may opt for a personal 4×4 rental, so they can see the continent as they see fit.
Asia — Trekking

Some say the only true way to experience Asia is by foot. Additionally, many East Asian cities are incredibly dense, with so much to see and do. It is easy to miss the sights and experiences by traveling any faster form of transport.

Australia — Campervan

While the is a great way to travel from north to south through the center of Australia, those who wish to experience the rest of the continent might consider renting a Campervan. Since the great Australian Outback is vast, and the towns are often few and far between, the campervan provides both mobility and a place to sleep — as well as shelter from the elements and wildlife.

Antarctica — Hagglund

For those brave enough to journey into the arctic south, picking the right vehicle could be a matter of life and death. The Hagglund BV 206 is an all-terrain vehicle, designed by the Swedish military, the can shelter up to 17 passengers from the frigid temperatures.
