Hotel

When traveling to a tropical destination like the U.S. Virgin Islands, lodging doesn’t need to be the main focus since most your time will (should) be spent outside. However, if where you rest your head is important to you, you can’t feel more like royalty than at Frenchman’s Reef.

A Marriott property, this cliff-side resort overlooks the Caribbean Sea and features a list of amenities as endless as the waters in its infinity pool. A suite at Frenchman’s Reef will make it difficult to remember there is still an entire island to be explored outside your door.

The high ceilings and open patio on the ground floor provide magnificent views of the surrounding hills and the crystal waters of the sea. When night falls, the tiny cottages in the hills light up like stars.

Cool off in the outdoor pool with a swim-up bar and copious lounge chairs. More than nine dining options include a casual covered patio called Coco Joe’s, a seafront restaurant called Aqua Terra and a late-night rum bar conveniently situated near a few hot tubs. Inside the hotel, there are two convenience markets where you can purchase anything you may have left at home.

In case you are still seeking things to do, Lazule Sea Spa and Salon steps in to ensure you are relaxed in complete luxury, equipped with all spa facilities and three pool-side cabanas.

At sunset, take a stroll along the private beach, grab a tropical cocktail at SandBar and make plans to explore the island tomorrow … maybe.
