These days, most international flights tend to provide meals for us, but some people can’t seem to stop bringing their own meals from home. That’s fine, but not all foods are appropriate for enclosed spaces, so you might want to think twice before throwing these into your bag.
Tuna
Tuna is a smell that simply doesn’t go away, and it’s an unpleasant one at that. Whether cooked or spread onto a sandwich, it all smells the same and it’s enough to make a lot of people want to puke if they have to breathe it in for long period of time.
Curry
Curry is right up there with tuna in terms of smells that just don’t want to die. It infects your clothing and even seeps into your pores, we’re told. It might taste great, but the smell is a tad on the funky side and doesn’t belong anywhere where there aren’t open windows. In fact, it should probably only ever be eaten outside.
Peanuts
Look, we understand other people’s allergies aren’t your problem, but it really isn’t asking much that you try and help out your neighbors for one day by forgoing your favorite nut. Some people can have reactions by simply being in proximity to peanuts, whereas you aren’t going to die if you aren’t able to munch on some for one plane flight.
Hard-Boiled Eggs
Hard-boiled eggs don’t last long out of the refrigerator and certainly shouldn’t be stored away in a carry-on during a flight. Everyone on the plane is going to smell the rotten stench seeping through the cabin and you’re going to draw the ire of your fellow passengers. Good luck making it off in one piece.
