A standard packing list for campers typically includes a sleeping bag, a tent and some sort of cooking apparatus. Rarely does this list feature an additional sleeping accessory in the form of a blanket, mostly omitted for space and practicality reasons. However, blanket company Rumpl (sells a line of “puffy” blankets that, after a few uses, may convince travelers of their worthiness to include in their next packing list.
Rumpl’s original puffy blanket is its most basic variety yet provides a preview into the possibilities offered by Rumpl’s line of blankets. Made from similar materials as a traditional puffy sleeping bag or insulated puffy jacket, the blanket adds an additional layer of warmth in colder environments. The material is weather-resistant featuring a nylon shell and repels dirt, water, pet hair and a variety of odors.
For those worried about space in their backpacks, the blanket collapses nicely and folds into its own carrying sack. This particular blanket comes in three sizes with the following dimensions: throw (50 inches by 70 inches), one-person (54 inches by 80 inches) and two-person (88 inches by 84 inches).
The price for Rumpl’s puffy blankets starts at $99 for the throw size, and they are available in eight colors.
