This August, Lemon Grove by chef Sam Talbot will launch atop The Aster members’ club and hotel, celebrating the agricultural traditions of Los Angeles through culinary influences and complex flavors. Sam Talbot, author of three novels, leads the way with this new opening and aims to emphasize clean eating.

Lemon Grove’s seasonally changing menu reflects the use of fresh ingredients for each dish presented at the restaurant. Some of the dishes will include: snapper crudo, lemon ponzu and crisp capers; pizza with truffled salami, Treviso pesto and grass-fed mozzarella and parmesan; beluga lentils alla vodka, goat cheese and roasted vegetables; and green goddess salad with apples, kohlrabi and avocado.
Guests will enjoy delicious meals with a view, sitting six stories above the ground floor. Almost equally split between indoor and outdoor dining, Lemon Grove incorporates rich earth tones, muted metals and rustic wood into its décor as an homage to the lemon groves and farmlands that once dominated the region. Lemon Grove will feature a dining room, bar and private dining space for up to 10 guests.

Lemon Grove will be open for brunch, lunch and dinner and will also feature a cocktail program. The cocktail menu seeks to complement the flavor profiles on the menu and change with the seasons. The restaurant will select a wine list with local and natural, sustainable offerings as well. Lemon Grove will also offer one of the most robust non-alcoholic beverage programs in the city; guests can also choose from an array of non-alcoholic beers, cocktails, wines and Champagnes.
