I arrived at the Radisson Blu Warwick Hotel, located in the heart of Center City, Philadelphia. As I drove to the property, I loved that a parking lot is conveniently connected to the hotel. We left the car with the parking attendant and were directed to a door, which led us into the hotel lobby. The lobby has a wonderful ambience and is welcoming. Stylish and chic, the lobby’s evening lighting had tints of blue, with large globe light fixtures hanging from the ceiling. Seating is available on both sides of the lobby, as well as a cozy fireplace. After undergoing a multimillion dollar renovation, the landmark property has done a great job of keeping its historic charm, while mixing in touches of contemporary style and décor.
After a seamless check-in, we made our way to a superior king room. The room was spacious and ideal for two guests. The white, fluffy comforter was dressed with two bright orange pillows. Next to each side of the bed, there was a table, wall lamp and convenient outlets. On the headboard, Philadelphia-inspired pieces of art and photos were hung, which I loved. A large desk lined the opposite wall. There was a desk area, as well as an open space, where a large-screen TV and lamp were placed.
The bathroom was small, but sufficient. There was one large white sink, but I wish there would have a bit more space around the sink area, or a vanity. The shower was quite large and had great water pressure.
Our room was located on the same floor as the fitness center, which I did not have the chance to use. However, it looked well equipped, with standard cardio machines and space to stretch/exercise.
The hotel had free WiFi and also offers meeting rooms and event space.
I would definitely stay at the Radisson Blu in Philadelphia again. The location is ideal, as it is walking distance from Rittenhouse Square, shopping, dining and historic attractions. While, I did not have a chance to dine at one of the hotel’s restaurants, I heard that both Tavern 17 and The Prime Rib are definitely worth trying.
