This October, Asheville, North Carolina, welcomes The Radical, a unique hotel situated in a former 1920s breakfast cereal factory. The now luxury hotel sits in the city’s River Arts District, brought to life by Suomi Design Works and Might & Main.
Featuring 70 guestrooms and suites, the Lark Hotel-operated property expands on the definition of boutique with vibrant artwork adorning each guestroom, suite and public space, as well as craft and detailed elements pointing to the building’s history. Richly layered design complements towering concrete pillars, exposed brick walls and original street art.
Guestrooms and suites see curtained headboards, serene marble and gold-accented bathrooms bring together an experience of both historic charm and modern flair. Broad windows with blackout curtains bring endless natural light. An eclectic blend of patterns and textures reminds guests of the lively energy awaiting them both in and outside the hotel.
The Radical also brings original dining and bar concepts to Asheville, all led by local chef and restauranteur Jacob Sessoms. Golden Hour and The Roof boast dinner and brunch menus, as well as a full bar and extensive wine list. In addition to inviting food and beverages spaces, the hotel also includes an outdoor courtyard with multiple terraces for events, weddings and community programming.
