Already making a name for itself in Europe, Les Amis, a popular app designed to help women meet other like-minded women when they move to new cities, officially makes its debut in the United States. Many young women struggle to find friends and acquaintances when moving to a new city; after all, large cities can be lonely. Les Amis is one solution for many women.
The app launched in Austin, Texas, April 24 and plans to expand to five other U.S. cities by the end of 2025.
But how exactly does Les Amis work?

Simply apply to join the platform and set up a profile, listing your interests, career aspirations and things you can teach other women. Then, you get matched with other users every week using an advanced algorithm, so you can connect with others by chatting and agreeing to do things together (like grabbing a coffee, getting lunch or going to the park).
Use the app to book an experience to meet other women and learn something new. You can choose from hundreds of events to connect and meet other women in real life at things like pottery classes, self-development workshops, sport activities and many more.
Les Amis is also available in Paris, France; Barcelona, Spain; Amsterdam, the Netherlands; Berlin, Germany; Milan, Italy; and Stockholm, Sweden. The app launched first in 2022 by Anna Bilych.
