Napa Valley, Calif.

This is the perfect honeymoon destination for wine-lovers any time of year. However, when you choose to visit in the fall, you will be able to partake in fall festivities including the Yountville Festival of Lights and grape stomping at the Grgich Estate. Autumn also marks the end of the harvest season for most wineries, which ensures a quieter getaway for couples.

Vermont

Breathtaking fall foliage is visible all over the United States, but nothing compares to the vibrant pops of color covering nearly three-quarters of Vermont. If you’re staying in the southern regions, it’s still a little chilly to hop in the water, but the Great Barrier Reef and coast of Queensland are not highly affected.
