The Honduran island of Utila is a great spot for partying. Here are some of the best bars you should try and visit for a drink or two.

First up is Treetanic, a treetop bar part of the Jade Seahorse restaurant. It’s a great place for a late-night tipple with a cooling breeze off the sea.

For something a bit more raucous, go to Skid Row Bar at any time of the day or night. This place, which has a pool table and a long bar, offers drinking challenges and free vests that have become a common sight on the backpacker trail.

Just down the beach is Carlotta’s, the place to be for an after-party. It’s open almost 24 hours a day, so you can pop in for a lunchtime beer and come back for sunrise after a night out.

If you want to eat something while you drink, La Cueva is a good choice. Another good spot is Mango Inn, known for its great pizzas and cocktails as well as the adjoining pool which guests are free to use. Settle in here for a relaxing day and you will have a great time.
