Tips / Travel

Traveling is stressful on the body and just one day strolling through a new city can wreak havoc on your nether regions. That’s why it’s important to choose the right underwear for being on the road. The right type of undies for travelers should be comfortable, keep things in place and be easy to clean.

Quick-Drying

One of the biggest hurdles of traveling is cleaning clothes. Dryers are hide to find overseas so you need something that’ll air out quickly after a good wash. A lot of underwear geared toward travelers has quick-drying technology, like ExOfficio’s line of briefs for men and women.

Supportive

Men, particularly, need underwear that’ll hold the goods in place during a long day of hiking. They also need to be breathable to avoid a particularly nasty case of swamp crotch. Tommy John’s Air Boxer Briefs are an ideal combination of both.

Odor Control

A day under the summer sun can lead to some hefty smells emanating from down below, even for the cleanliest of travelers. Opt for underwear that contains antibacterial and sweat-wicking properties to keep things fresh. Boody Eco Wear has a line of environmentally friendly, lightweight undies for women and men.

Lightweight

Nothing slows you down like heavy, swampy underwear so lighten your load with briefs that feel like they’re barely there. Travelers who are synthetic averse will probably enjoy Smartwool’s microweight bottoms made of merino wool. They wick away moisture while also making you feel as if you’re going commando during your journeys.
