Footwear is all-important whatever you plan to do, and there is nothing worse than being uncomfortable every time your feet hit the ground. British company Carreducker recently ran a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for its Tor boot. According to the company, the aim is to boost the shoe industry in Britain by employing small, artisanal manufacturers across the country.
Carreducker has a long and storied history in design, and is so well respected that it is featured in a permanent exhibition at the Design Museum in London. The Tor boot is the latest effort, and is designed to put up with tough conditions.
Choose from six different kinds of leather, and count on the 100 percent wool upholstery felt lining for great comfort. There are two sole options, one better for urban use and the other better suited to muddy conditions.

After raising the necessary funds on Kickstarter, Carreducker says the Tor will be available for shipping in spring 2018. The boots will retail for $600.
