Nestled in the heart of Barranco is this charming bed and breakfast that is quiet and comfortable. Casa Nuestra has eight rooms in an old family house and targets travelers who want to enjoy the sociable side of a hostel but with their own private space to sleep. The common areas are well-appointed, with comfy seating and contemporary art on the walls, and the whole place has a great atmosphere.
The business is family owned and run, and the welcome is as friendly as you’d expect. Each morning there is fresh fruit and coffee for breakfast, as well as eggs you can cook up in any way you like. It’s included in the price, and it’s a great opportunity to meet your fellow guests.
When it comes to the rooms, they are comfortable if simple. The beds are comfy, and there is storage space for everything you need. Some have private bathrooms, while others share. The rooms and the bathrooms are unfailingly clean, so unless you’re a real clean freak there is no benefit to paying extra for your own bathroom.
Casa Nuestra is well placed to make the most of the trendy Barranco neighborhood with its huge variety of restaurants, bars and clubs, while the other touristy area of Miraflores is just a short walk away. You can easily walk down to the seaside within 10 minutes, and it’s a great spot to be located.
Overall, Casa Nuestra comes highly recommended. A single room is $35 per night, and a twin is $50 per night.
