United Airlines Celebrates its First Class of United Aviate Graduates
As the only major U.S. airline to own a flight school, United Airlines already hit a major milestone, and now the carrier celebrates another important — and historic — step as the inaugural class of United Aviate Academy pilots graduates, leading the next generation of aviators. The 51 students in the graduating class were majority, at 80 percent, women and people of color — another stride toward United’s goal of training 5,000 new pilots by 2030 with half women or POC.

New Study Shows Cruisers Aren’t Concerned About COVID-19
The COVID-19 pandemic certainly wasn’t kind to the cruise industry, but it seems like things are getting back to “normal,” with a new survey by squaremouth.com showing more than 60 percent of cruisers now aren’t concerned about COVID-19, compared to the more than 60 percent of cruisers worried about catching the virus according to a similar study conducted earlier this year.

The study analyzed key metrics, including number of leisure and restaurant establishments, access to coworking spaces and price of goods in more than 300 cities across the United States. Leisure venues include museums, historical sites, amusement parks, spas and performing arts venues.

New Study Shows What to Expect from Winter Travel
If you’re planning on traveling this month or next, you’re not alone. According to a new study from Vacasa, more than half of U.S. residents have travel plans for December 2022, January 2023 or February 2023. A little under half of those people plan to travel for the holidays specifically, while about 20 percent are unsure of exact travel dates.
