Whether flying, driving or commuting by train there are some great podcasts out there for the ride. When music alone just isn’t enough to pass the time, consider a podcast instead.
For improvisational comedy lovers, there is a slew of comedy gold on the Earwolf Network. Comedy Bang Bang! is a silly show where the host, Scott Aukerman, interviews comedy friends while random characters come in and out throughout the show and hilarity unfolds.
For something with a little more structur,e there is the podcast Cracked, which is also an online news site. This informational show is more like a discussion with well-informed, funny people who discuss current events in science, politics and everything in between. Often with a professional onboard, these hosts and guests share some interesting ideas, conspiracy theories and facts about pop culture and its ties to the world around us.
Another pop culture-oriented show is How Did This Get Made? This ingenious podcast consists of comedy writers and actors discussing hilariously awful movies. They invite comedy friends and actors to discuss movies like Glitter, Junior and Winter’s Tale and debate about whether or not Nicholas Cage would have made the movie better.
For another silly show to pass the time quickly, check out Bitch Sesh. This podcast breaks down The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and other Bravo shows. Improv comedians and actors Casey Wilson and Danielle Schneider discuss the show in great detail and vent about “Bravo-leberties”.
All of the shows are funny, informative and more than hour long. Any commute will fly by as the listener will be engrossed and laughing throughout.
