Tips / Other

Whether meeting someone new for the first time or planning a date night with a long-term partner, it’s always fun to shake it up and skip the dinner and a movie routine.

Do something creative and new by taking a cooking lesson, pottery class or a sip and paint class. You’ll learn a new skill together, make a memory and get to know each other in a different light and even have a fun take-away from the date.

If you’re the outdoorsy type, plan a bike tour with a wine tasting at the end of it or a hike and picnic. Get outside, get active and take time to relax and enjoy the weather together.

For those days when the weather isn’t cooperating, opt for an indoor activity like a museum tour, art show or local charity bingo night fundraiser. You’ll have a fun time doing something new or showing off your art knowledge — or laugh about your lack thereof.

Stick to an active date indoors with some rock climbing, roller blading, bowling or the arcade. Try something like Dave and Busters, a beach boardwalk or pinball arcade in your area.
