With so many hotels to choose from along the Las Vegas Strip, it can be difficult to pin down the best one for your trip, but after staying in the Delano on a recent excursion I have to say it’s definitely one of the top options. The hotel itself is luxurious without being extravagant, making it a great choice for young travelers and even those with kids.
The hotel offers a litany of suites that overlook the Strip, many with panoramic window views like ours. It’s extremely well kept and clean and boasts more amenities than I could count. The Bathhouse Spa and Gym were great to have on hand for relaxation and to work up a sweat. The on-site restaurant was a bit pricey for my taste, but other guests claimed the food was fantastic.
You’ll also find a pool on the premises, a necessity in the sweltering Las Vegas heat. Located right next to Mandalay Bay, the Delano is a prime spot for exploring the Strip. You also have access to many of the next-door casino/hotel’s amenities as well.
On a sour note, the wait to check-in can be long and somewhat infuriating if you don’t arrive early. However, they’re happy to offer you a ride to anywhere in the city once you’ve gotten settled, which can save you money on gas and taxi fares.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the Delano and, as far as Las Vegas goes, the price was acceptable for what we were given. A comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom and great amenities to enjoy made it a wonderful place to stay.
