Ibotta allows customers to earn rebates and cash back on everyday purchases through a mobile app. The app assists users in unlocking rebates before they shop and scanning the product barcode to earn rewards. A photo submission of the receipt will be required to receive cash rewards afterward.
Once proof of purchase is provided through the Ibotta app, cash will be deposited in the user’s Venmo or PayPal account 48 hours later. The shopper can even choose to convert the cash into a gift card.
Cash back can be earned in grocery stores and in shops where users regularly shop. Many brands of produce, cosmetics, electronics and more will be verified and accepted; users just have to sign up and link their account.
The rebate section of the online site and app breaks down what cash-back bonus users will receive on specific brands and where to purchase the items. There are a variety of items in many participating, big-name stores.
Whole Foods, CVS, Target and Rite Aid are among the many popular stores featured on Ibotta. Customers should browse by nearby stores, categories and featured items to make the most of their Ibotta membership.
